City gas solution powered forklifts can work continuously through multiple shifts, 24-hours a day. Refuelling is a simple matter of replacing one cylinder with another. This cylinder swop takes minutes and is done while the operator checks the operational integrity of the system. Forklifts operate by batteries are less efficient. . In most cases the forklift is forced to stand idle for six to eight hours while batteries recharge. In cases where batteries are swopped, it is a time-consuming, cumbersome and fairly complicated procedure therefore the possibility of extending a shift is limited by battery life,

Auto gas can be used interchangeably with petrol on suitably converted vehicles. Both older vehicles designed for petrol power and modern LPG’s forklift trucks can be converted and used as dual-fuel vehicles. In nearly all cases dual-fuel vehicles only switch to the petrol supply in an emergency.
